This week Flickr launched a new feature which lets you put a handle on your mug.

(Get it? A handle on your mug. :-) I just crack myself up.)

Yahoo! Philippines is leveraging Flickr to help loved ones find each other as a result of dislocation that happened resulting from the typhoons this month.

Family memebers can upload the missing person’s photo with key information including the location of where the person was last seen. Flickr can then be as an online “meeting point” to help people connect.
